Illinois Institute of Technology’s annual ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â ceremony is a time for faculty to celebrate the accomplishments of ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â students. Faculty not only educate, but also inspire our students—both during our students’ time at the university and throughout their lives.
ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â Day Instructions
Robing
All faculty and staff should report for robing at on Saturday, May 17. For the first ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â ceremony (Institute of Design, Lewis College of Science and Letters, and College of Computing), check-in is from 7–8 a.m. For the second ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â ceremony (College of Architecture, Stuart School of Business, and Armour College of Engineering), check-in is from noon–1 p.m.
Note: You must pick up your robe prior to attending your ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â ceremony. Regalia will not be available onsite.
Faculty line up will begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. for the first ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â ceremony; 1:40 p.m. for the second ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â ceremony.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, faculty must return their regalia before departing. Return locations will be finalized closer to the event date.
Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony
The Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony will take place on Friday, May 16 at Hermann Hall’s McCormick Auditorium beginning at 10 a.m. (CDT). For any questions regarding Ph.D. hooding, please contact Jonathan Harmon at jharmon4@iit.edu.
Faculty attending the Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony will need to pick up their regalia from department’s college planner. It will be the faculty’s responsibility to bring their regalia to Credit Union 1 Area for the Saturday ceremonies.
